Also eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill? Under Chapter 31 you can instead elect a subsistence allowance equal to the Post-9/11 Monthly Housing Allowance— based on your school's ZIP code at the E-5-with-dependents rate — which is often higher than the traditional rate above. Estimate that ZIP-based amount with the BAH calculator.
