Free career help for veterans
Mentorship, corporate fellowships, resume rewrites and skilled-trade training, from organizations that do not charge veterans for any of it. 16 of them, below.
Every link here was checked on October 9, 2026 and is re-checked automatically every week. Anything that stops responding comes off the page rather than sitting here broken.
Lists like this go stale quietly. When MTT swept its own resource list in October 2026, 20 of 67 links were broken: dead podcasts, delisted books, VA pages that had moved, and one entry labelled “mentorship” whose domain had started redirecting to a lawsuit cash-advance company. That is the normal half-life of a veteran resource page that nobody re-checks. So this one is checked by a script, weekly, and the date above is written by that script rather than typed in by hand.

A note on what is not here
Nothing on this page charges a veteran a fee for help with a VA claim. If you are looking for claim help specifically, that is a different thing and it is also free: an accredited VSO will file for you at no cost, and charging for help on an initial claim is a separate conversation worth having before you pay anyone.
Know who can help. Now get the resume past the screen.
Most of these organizations will ask for a resume at the first session. Walking in with one already built, in a format that clears an applicant tracking system, means the hour goes on strategy instead of formatting.
Free. An account keeps it so the next application is an edit, not a rewrite.
