Does USAA deposit military pay early?
Yes. USAA typically makes military pay available up to two business days before the official DoD payday, as long as it receives the payroll file from DFAS in time. If the file arrives late, your pay posts on the normal date instead of early.
How many days early does USAA pay?
Up to two business days early — often a day or two ahead of the official payday. Around weekends and holidays that can stretch to several calendar days early, but it is never guaranteed and depends on when DFAS transmits payroll.
Does USAA pay early on both the 1st and the 15th?
Yes. USAA applies its early availability to both the mid-month (15th) and end-of-month (1st) military paydays. Each one still depends on DFAS sending the payroll file in time for that specific pay period.
Do I have to sign up for USAA early pay?
No. Early availability is automatic once your military pay is set up as direct deposit with USAA. There is no separate enrollment, opt-in, or request — you do not pay for it and cannot turn it on or off.
