Georgia partially exempts military retirement pay (up to about $65,000); the rest is taxable.
Up to $65,000 of military retirement pay is excluded. Beginning tax year 2026 (HB 266, signed May 2025) the full $65,000 exclusion applies at ANY age; previously $65,000 only at 65+, $35,000 at 62-64, and $17,500 (plus $17,500 with earned income) under 62.
