Flat exemption of just value (not rating-tiered): $6,000 for wartime-era veterans who are age 62+ OR receiving U.S. Government disability compensation (incl. 100% disabled); $50,000 for veterans who received a federal specially-adapted-housing grant (38 USC 2101). Maine resident, primary residence, file by April 1 (36 MRS 653). Effective rate ~1.09% (Tax Foundation/Census).
