The AI (Claude) returns three structured outputs: 4-6 resume bullets in PAR format using civilian terminology, 3-5 specific civilian job titles your experience maps to, and 2-4 industry certifications worth pursuing.

Is this different from the rule-based MOS guides?

Yes. The 923 MOS guides on MTT cover specific military codes with curated civilian translations. The AI translator handles arbitrary, mixed, or unusual experience — for example "Navy STG2 with TS/SCI who also led a 12-person watch team and managed $4M of equipment." The AI synthesizes all of those facts into tailored output. Use both: the MOS guide for orientation, the AI translator for your specific resume.

How accurate are the AI suggestions?

Accepted Answer

The AI is trained on broad labor-market data and produces solid civilian translations 90%+ of the time. It can hallucinate specific numbers if your input is vague — the calculator instructs the model not to invent quantities. Always verify the output against your actual experience before using on a resume. What are the rate limits?

5 translations per hour per IP, with a daily cap of 12 successful calls per IP per 24-hour rolling window. AI inference costs real money — these limits prevent abuse while leaving headroom for a user iterating on their input.
